NEHRU HOUSE

Nehru house is the reflection of the ideals of our beloved Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India, who had true love to share with the children as he believed that these children are the strong foundation of a prosperous and happy nation so full of effervescent youth and this can truly be witnessed in the competitive and enthusiastic spirit of the members of this house.

The importance of Jawarharlal Nehru in the perspective of Indian history is that, he imported and imparted modern values and ways of thinking, which he adapted to Indian conditions. Apart from his stress on secularism and on the unity of India, despite its ethnic and religious diversities, Nehru was deeply concerned with carrying India forward into the modern age of scientific discovery and technological development. In addition, he aroused in his people an awareness of the necessity of social concern with the poor and the outcast and of respect for democratic values.

Objectives of Nehru House

To achieve unity of participation and uniform growth among all the students with the use of interactive modeling.
Inculcate and increase the feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities and judgment.

With these purposes Nehru House has participated in all the Inter House activities organized in Sumeet Rahul School like declamation competition, one act plays ,mathematics quiz etc.

It's been a privilege that Nehru House like all other houses got the opportunity to conduct special assembly on various prominent figures of our country like Shaheed Bhagat Singh Jayanti, Swami Vivekananda birth anniversary and many others.

These practices tend to provide an equal platform to all the students in order to nurture and showcase their inherited talent.

Nehru House has always "Lighted the Way" for the young students so that they gain enlightment.
